Man Utd ace Rooney sees his TV show cut by Sky

Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney has seen his TV show axed.

The Sun reports Sky has revealed the Premier League striker's Street Striker show has also been ditched.

The programme followed the Manchester United player as he toured the country trying to find the best young footballing talent.

The show - which had been set to enter its fourth series - was sponsored by Coke Zero and finished its last run in November.

But Rooney's spokesman did not rule out a return of Street Striker, as his company owns the rights.

Another channel could buy it up despite the damage done to his public image.

A Sky spokesman said of the decision to axe the show: "Street Striker was a programme in partnership with Coke Zero. It was a great success for Sky 1, but we have no plans for another series."
