Man Utd ace Pogba: France forgetting critics; we want to prove them wrong

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has revisited the whistles of France fans during their 0-0 draw with Denmark.

Ahead of their World Cup round of 16 showdown with Argentina, Pogba admits the players want to silence their doubters.

He declared: "It is true that there were criticisms but we qualified. So the critics are forgotten, we stay on our goals. We want to beat them, we want to go through. But we also want to remove the doubts that many people have about us, doubts about the fact that the France team will not compete against this great team from Argentina.

"We'll see that, it's a good test for us. It remains a very big nation and a favorite team of the World Cup, even if they started badly. But we, we are France, we must also take our responsibilities, we are a great nation too."

Pogba continued: "I do not want to go home, I booked my room until the 15th! I do not feel like packing. The group is good, we live well together, we are all determined. We are all happy to be in the 8th. For many players, this is their first (World Cup). We are focused, we are waiting for the match and we will see what will happen."
