Manchester United were drawn alongside PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League group stage draw on Thursday.
The Red Devils progressed to Europe's premier club competition by virtue of a two-legged play-off win over Belgian side Club Brugge, which ended 7-1 to the English team, and will now compete in Group B with the Dutch champions as well as Russian club CSKA Moscow and Germany's Wolfsburg.
The draw pits United's £25million summer signing Memphis Depay against his former employer, who he joined as a 12-year-old, and spent nine years before leaving for Old Trafford where the two clubs will meet in November.
Of the encounters with PSV, who Memphis guided to the last season's Eredivisie title, the Dutch international Tweeted:
Well well @PSV, guess we'll see each other soon #CL

The first clash between the two clubs will take place at the Philips Stadion in the opening group stage fixture on September 15.
