Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku insists he has nothing to prove to Belgium fans.
Lukaku's presence in Belgium coach Roberto Martinez's team still splits opinion back home.
But he told HLN: "In Belgium it is always: yes, but. Always that 'only'. But to whom do I still have to prove myself in Belgium?
"I do everything to get better."
And Lukaku welcomes potential competition from Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, who is now shining on-loan at Borussia Dortmund.
"The more competition, the better you perform. But I have confidence in my qualities. That's how I am. Competition is part of it, but I think: I am the best, I will play," he added.
