Manchester United ace Bruno Fernandes spent time with former club Sporting CP this past weekend.

The 27-year-old left Lisbon for Old Trafford back in January 2020.

Fernandes is currently on a break ahead of international duty with Portugal.

And that allowed Fernandes the opportunity to head back to his former employers at the weekend to watch them at VitoriaGuimaraes.

Record says the midfielder was invited into Sporting's dressing-room before the game.

And he delivered a “message of confidence" prior to kick off to help inspire them to victory.

Despite going behind, goals from Pablo Sarabia, Paulinho and Marcus Edwards secured a 3-1 win.
