Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez insists he's no superstar.

With 23 goals in 34 international appearances so far, there's a certain weight of expectation on Hernandez to fire Mexico to Brazil 2014.

But in typical fashion, he attempted to deflect that attention at a press conference in his homeland on Monday.

"I am simply proud to be involved each time the Mexico squad is announced," he said. "Whenever I'm mentioned, I do not feel differently to anyone else.

"I'm not a star, I feel the same as all my team-mates."
