Man Utd academy chief Cox happy for Gore after Cup debut

Manchester United academy director Nick Cox is delighted for young talent Dan Gore.

The latter was in the squad for Manchester United and made his debut against Crystal Palace in a 3-0 Carabao Cup success.

As United progressed to the fourth round, where they will play Newcastle United, Gore came onto the field at Old Trafford for his senior bow against Palace.

The club's academy head, Cox, posted on social media: "Congratulations Dan… debutant number 247 takes his first steps into the professional game.

“Well done to family, friends and staff that have supported him on his journey so far."

United are likely to give more first team chances to Gore, but he may even go out on loan in January.
