Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure says he would've stayed at Barcelona if coach Pep Guardiola had not snubbed him. The Ivory Coast international is upset with the way he was treated by Guardiola in his final weeks at the Nou Camp.

He told Ona FM: "Guardiola, when I asked, told me strange things. So I went to City. For a year I could not speak to him.

"If Guardiola had spoken to me I would have stayed at the club. I did not want to leave. I wanted to finish my career at Barca.

"He had no confidence in me. I wanted to stay and he did not."
