Man City's Tevez expected to back down over Palermo testimonial

Carlos Tevez is expected to back down in his battle with Manchester City to play in Martin Palermo's testimonial.

The Daily Mail says the 27-year-old has been in Argentina since November without City’s permission.

It is unlikely that he will go ahead with plans to play in a Saturday's testimonial for his former Boca Juniors team-mate Martin Palermo.
