Manchester City striker Valeri Bojinov has welcomed comparisons with Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney.

"If some people say I remind them of Wayne Rooney, all I can say is: `I wish,'" said Bojinov in an interview with the official City magazine.

"I am a great fan of Rooney, and I suppose we are the same age and of a similar physique as well. I don't mind at all, but it's not me saying I play like him."
