Manchester City youngster Matt Smith expects to leave again on-loan next season.

Smith spent this season with FC Twente.

He told Sgorio, “I have got the fix for first-team football now. I assume that if i don't get any opportunity at Man City that it'll be another loan.

“For them to give me that (four year) deal, it really shows I am part of their future which is fantastic.

“Will I break into the first-team at Man City? I don't know, it is a very difficult thing to do and sometimes you have got to be a bit realistic with what I can do with my career.

“It would be fantastic if I could break in, it is a wonderful team, but i also know that if don't then I can't let that affect me and I've got to keep working hard and go on my path as a footballer."
