Manchester City will not be disciplining Kyle Walker after being outed by the press for visiting family members during the UK's coronavirus lockdown.
Walker travelled to Sheffield on Wednesday to visit his sister, where he hugged her after handing over a birthday present.
He then went to see his parents and collect some home-cooked meals.
Many media outlets demanded action against the England international, though quickly made an about-face after Walker's explanation generated a backlash from the public.
City will not be taking action as they believe the personal circumstances behind the journey offered important context to the press reports.
