Manchester City youngster Phil Foden hopes David Silva stays at the club.

Silva's heir apparent was in scintillating form in Monday's 5-0 win over Burnley, grabbing himself two goals from midfield.

But Foden does not want Silva to follow through with his plans of leaving the club once his contract expires this summer.

"I wish he [David Silva] would extend his contract, to be honest!," Foden said after the game.

"He's unbelievable to play with. I don't want to think about it [his departure] too much.

"He's a great guy - a legend of the Club - and it's a pleasure to play with him."
