So much so, says AS, that City boss Pep Guardiola wants to take Guatia north to Manchester.

Indeed, talks have been held with the keeper's camp to alert him that he is a candidate to replace Claudio Bravo should he leave City next summer.

West Ham are also in talks with Guaita's team.

The 31 year-old's contract runs to 2021 and there is a belief that Palace are preparing to open talks about a new deal.
