Manchester City midfielder Patrick Vieira has his eyes on the looming derby with Manchester United.
The Reds travel to Eastlands on November 10 with both sides looking to put down a marker in the title race.
And Vieira believes the game has been given an extra edge with City well on their way to challenging United's dominance in Manchester and in the Premier League.
"It's maybe a little bit more special this year because I think we are closer to United than in the past," said the Frenchman, who never believed that Wayne Rooney would make the move across the city from rivals United.
"I think we've started to show that it is not only United anymore, it is City as well.
"Now you have to count on City to be at the top and I think it's going to an exciting derby because we are really close to United."
