Middlesbrough skipper Ben Gibson is interesting Manchester City.

The Daily Mail says City are stepping up their interest in Middlesbrough defender Gibson.

Pep Guardiola is reportedly a big admirer of the centre-back, who has been tracked by West Brom this summer.

However, Garry Monk has continuously said Gibson is not for sale: “From day one, it was very clear we don't have to sell any player. I said all along it would have to be an extraordinary offer for any player to leave and we don't want our important players to leave."
