Manchester City are struggling to offload defender Micah Richards.
The Sunday Mirror says Richards could end up serving the final 12 months of his contract with no takers on an £8m asking price.
But Newcastle United, Sunderland and West Ham United indicated they would prefer to take Richards only on a loan deal.
