Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart insists the club is still intent on securing an automatic Champions League spot.
The reigning Premier League champions dropped four points behind third-placed Manchester United after losing 4-2 to their neighbours in the derby on Sunday but a top-three finish is still realistic according to Hart.
"We've got six games to go and they are so big for us," said the England number one.
"It's essential to try and finish third. We've got to get our heads down and win these massive games."
Manuel Pellegrini's struggling City next take on ninth-placed West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
