Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany is spending his summer break in the gym.

Kompany has revealed that he will once again spend the summer rehabbing after another season ravaged by injury.

He said: “I'll give myself a little bit of time to relax, because I need to, but then I'll crack on and I'll be ready for next season.

“I think the days of a footballer going on holiday for a month and having a right go at it are gone."
