Manchester City signing Benjamin Mendy has paid tribute to AS Monaco and their fans after completing his move yesterday.

Mendy took to Twitter to post his tribute:

"It's already over ... My adventure at AS Monaco lasted only a year, but it brought me so much: the title of champion of France, an exceptional run in the Champions League, a Cup final, my first selection with Team France and especially a unique human adventure with this team ... I have fulfilled some of my goals here and it is now time for me to take on new challenges.

"A huge thank you to the coach. El Tactico Jardim, who was important in my evolution as a player and as a man. Thanks also to the entire staff of Monaco who made us live an extraordinary year, and to the president and vice-president to have believed in me.

"And then thank you to all of you, supporters of ASM.

"I will never forget what I lived here by your side, THANKS FOR EVERYTHING. #DagheMunegu."
