Manchester City are keen on Palermo defender Giuseppe Prestia.
Rosanero president Maurizio Zamparini revealed yesterday that City had made contact with him.
City boss Roberto Mancini is keen to take Prestia to England in June and though he is off contract in the summer, they chose to alert Zamparini of their plans in order to maintain their strong relationship..
City are expected to make a faxed nominal offer to Palermo for Prestia.
