Manchester City are close to sealing a deal for Middlesbrough striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni.
The Mail on Sunday says Middlesbrough want £8m for 24-year-old Yakubu, which will not be a problem after Thaksin Shinawatra promised Sven Goran Eriksson a £50m transfer kitty.
