Manchester City chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak is prepared to see some big names sold.
The Manchester Evening News says Edin Dzeko, Samir Nasri and Aleks Kolarov could all be put up for sale this summer.
Dzeko and Nasri looked vulnerable after disappointing campaigns.
Kolarov also endured an inconsistent season - but put some gloss on it with a strong finish.
Al Mubarak said in his end of season address to supporters: “You will see some players who have served us well, and maybe it's time for them to move onto their next challenge, and you will see us in the market bringing high quality individuals, that fit within what we are aspiring to, coming in the summer."
Dzeko and Nasri have made it clear they will not be pushed out of the club - indicating their determination to fight for their futures.
Kolarov was understood to be considering his place, but has also decided to remain at the Etihad.
