Manchester City recruit Patrick Vieira is confident he will be in the France squad for this year's World Cup.
The former Arsenal captain is currently on the outer with the national team but believes with some game time under his belt with City, he has every chance of making Raymond Domenech's squad for South Africa.
"As I am an optimistic person I'm going to say that I have 100% chance," Vieira told Canal+. "The determination is there. In life we are all the same, we give ourselves aims. They can be reached or not.
"In my head I don't see myself missing the World Cup. What I know is that I have to play, simple as that.
"There are no guarantees nor certainties but (Domenech) told me that as soon as I'm playing there is no reason for me not to be selected."
