Man City's Toure ready to return

Manchester City defender Kolo Toure has been given the green light to resume duties as normal and he is feeling the best he ever has.

The 30-year old Ivory Coast centre-half was banned for six months after failing a drug test, which he later said was simply a diet pill, but is back and ready for action as his suspension is now over.

Toure, who joined City from Arsenal in 2009, is looking forward to resuming his career but knows it will be tough to break into Roberto Mancini's star-studded side despite being in fine fettle.

"I feel totally recharged and as fit as I've ever been in my life," Toure told the club's official website.

"I know it won't be easy because the team is playing so well, but I'll be pushing hard for an opportunity.

"I'm just so happy to be back and I will give everything I have to the team, this club and our fans. I can't wait to get going.

"I will try and repay our amazing supporters for all their good wishes, kind words and support."
