Manchester City are competing with Arsenal for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.

The Sunday Mirror says City have joined the £40 million chase for Lacazette.

The Lyon striker will be sold this summer and City are keen to bring the France international to the Etihad.

Arsenal have a long-standing interest in the 25-year-old who went into the weekend with 30 goals to his name.

And Atletico Madrid are ready to move in should they fail to land their primary target Alexis Sanchez of Arsenal who has yet to agree a contract extension at the Emirates.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is a big fan of Lacazette. Wenger has already given the green light for recruitment for next season to start.
