Man City resist raft of offers for Lewis

Everton have seen a loan offer for Manchester City's Rico Lewis rejected by the Premier League champions.

The Citizens, who won the treble last season, value Lewis as a member of their first team squad.

Per the Daily Express, Brighton, Leeds, Southampton, and the Toffees all put in loan inquiries.

However, they were all knocked back, given Lewis is so versatile and liked by manager Pep Guardiola.

He can play at full back and in midfield, which means he will get plenty of game time this season.

City believe that training with their players and slowly gaining first team minutes is the ideal route for his development.
