Manchester City are continuing to pay Carlos Tevez's £197,000-a-week wages despite the Argentine's continuing refusal to return to the club.
Inter Milan have offered £25m, but Tevez would prefer to join AC Milan.
Milan have offered to take Tevez on loan and pay his wages in full, but that was not acceptable to City, who don't want the Tevez problem to return at the end of the season.
Talks are expected to resume again this week and City manager Roberto Mancini hopes any deal will once again loosen the purse strings at the Etihad.
