Manchester City are ready to challenge Manchester United for Crystal Palace midfielder Michael Olise.

Olise is a favourite of new United director Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is prioritising a deal for the France U21 international.

However, The Sun says City are ready to spend big to beat United to the signing of Olise.

Indeed, they're willing to go as high as £60m to land the youngster.

City management believe Olise can fit smoothly into manager Pep Guardiola's system and believe he will be keen to play for the Catalan.

The 22-year-old's contract at Selhurst Park runs until 2027 - and it includes an unknown buyout clause.
