Manchester City have joined the interest for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Weigl.

AS says City are ready to battle Barcelona for Weigl.

The 22-year-old is regarded as one of the hottest properties in Europe and has recently returned to action following an ankle problem.

Weigl signed a new deal last December but the two clubs are keeping tabs on the situation.
