Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta insists he and his teammates will look to follow on from their 6-0 Capital One Cup semi-final first leg demolition of West Ham United this week.
City head to Upton Park for the second leg on Tuesday night after placing one foot in the Wembley final when they dominated proceedings on January 8 at the Etihad Stadium.
Despite the one-sided scoreline, Zabaleta says City are intent on ensuring they make it through to the decider where they could meet neighbours Manchester United who find themselves 2-1 down to Sunderland.
"It doesn't matter about the first leg," he said.
"We have to go into that game thinking it's a new game, even though we have six goals.
"We need to try and win it, like we are doing in other games at the moment. We are winning games and working hard.
"West Ham are in a tough moment, they are at home and will want to win it. So we need to take it seriously and we will."
