Manchester City remain convinced they can prise John Terry away from Chelsea.
On Sunday, both Terry and chief executive Peter Kenyon insisted the England captain would not be leaving Stamford Bridge.
But the Daily Mail says City believe they can lure Chelsea captain Terry at the end of the season with an offer to double his £120,000-a-week wages.
City rate Terry a realistic target and Chelsea have now confirmed their interest in buying the 28-year-old.
