Manchester City are interested in Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler.

The 20 year-old has broken into the Los Che first team this season and been linked with Manchester United.

Sport says City chief Txiki Begiristain met with Valencia rival Jose Ramon Alesanco this week, with Soler among topics on the agenda.

Soler has played six games for Valencia - and once he reaches ten his buyout clause will rise from €8 million to €30 million.

The youngster has also been watched by United this season, with English media sources claiming he is a long-term target for manager Jose Mourinho.
