Manchester City are launching a bid for Valencia winger David Silva.

AS says City are sending a delegation to Spain today, including chief Garry Cook, to open formal talks with Valencia for Silva.

With Cook involved, Valencia insiders are convinced they will have a concrete offer to consider by the end of business today.

Last week, Valencia president Manuel Llorente said Silva could go for €30 million.
