Manchester City are ready to offer manager Roberto Mancini a bumper new contract. The Sun says Mancini is to be offered a new £22million four-year deal by Manchester City.

It will make him the Premier League's joint highest-paid boss.

The Italian's contract will take his £3.5m-a-year salary to £5.5m and put him alongside rival Alex Ferguson at Manchester United at the top of the pay league.

The mega deal is a reward for an amazing 22 months at the City helm.
