Manchester City must make a decision over two of their senior strikers.
They hope to clarify the futures of strikers Carlos Tevez and Edin Dzeko as quickly as possible, says the Manchester Evening News.
Tevez, who spent a large part of last season AWOL before returning to help the Blues to the title, has indicated he wants to stay. But if the Argentinian does settle, and boss Roberto Mancini lands his number one target Van Persie, the exit door surely beckons for Dzeko.
The big Bosnian cost £27m in January last year and has been linked with a move back to the Bundesliga.
