Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell will welcome Manuel Pellegrini if he is named new manager.

Pellegrini the favourite to replace Roberto Mancini.

Rodwell said: "The club said there will be an announcement soon so we will see. Pellegrini is obviously a great manager, so it's fine if it is him."
