Manchester City midfielder Rodri has welcomed new signing Erling Haaland.

It was announced last week that City had struck terms with Borussia Dortmund for the Norway striker.

Rodri told AS: "We are waiting for the Viking's arrival. He's a player who's going to change the way we play. We usually use a false 9 that gives you things for the game, but it also takes things away from the game.

"We have a gap on our team, which he will fill. He is a physical marvel."

He continued, "It's been my best season. You get better and better with time, and then you adapt to the game. I have always played with another midfielder next to me, but now I am alone - I just had to get used to it."
