Man City midfielder Rodri named Champions League Player of the Year

Manchester City anchorman Rodri is the Player of the Year for the Champions League this season.

The midfielder scored the winning goal for the Citizens against Internazionale in Istanbul on Saturday.

Rodri's strike in the corner of the net in the second half settled a tight and even contest.

Within the team of the season, City had Erling Haaland, Bernardo Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri, John Stones, Kyle Walker, and Ruben Dias representing them.

The Citizens won the treble this season, beating Manchester United in the FA Cup and pipping Arsenal to the Premier League.

City won the final against Inter despite star man De Bruyne coming off with an injury in the first half.
