Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden has hailed the impact of captain of Kyle Walker this season.

Walker took the armband after Ilkay Gundogan's departure for Barcelona last summer.

Foden told the Manchester Evening News: "We've held little team talks when things are not going well, in the changing room, as players just between ourselves as a team.

"And he's great. He gives us great advice. Kyle's been around for ages and played in massive games and he's great at doing that, at getting the team together when things are not going right.

"We're always trying to push each other and get better."
