Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has hailed Kevin de Bruyne after his performance for victory over Stoke City.

The Belgian was in sizzling form once more as Pep Guardiola 's men smashed Stoke City 7-2 at the Etihad Stadium.

Bernardo said: "Kevin is just an amazing player. It is a pleasure to play alongside these kind of players. He showed us again that he is one of the best in the world."

Bernardo believes Pep Guardiola has now instilled a brand of football far superior to anything that he has been part of before.

Added the 23-year-old: "Last season we played good football in Monaco and with the national team as well, but yes this performance that the team has been able to do over the last games – it has been outstanding.

"To be here and be able to learn from all these fantastic players it is an amazing opportunity. I am very happy to be here and I hope I can help the team as much as I can to achieve their goals."
