Manchester City and Middlesbrough are chasing Ivory Coast striker Bakary Kone.

The 5ft 4in mighty midget has been a prolific scorer with French club Nice and is likely to move to England this summer, says the People.

City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson had Kone watched before his own Eastlands exit became apparent but the club are still keen.

Kone, who starred for the Ivory Coast at the last World Cup, has also attracted interest from the Premier League new boys West Brom as well as Nice's French rivals Marseilles.
