Manuel Pellegrini insists it is not too difficult to let rumours regarding his future at Manchester City fall to the wayside.

The Chilean's job at the Etihad Stadium remains clouded following Pep Guardiola's announcement that he will be leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

Guardiola is being heavily linked with Pellegrini's role but the current City boss says he cannot afford to worry as he has plenty to concern himself with already.

"It is not difficult, it is easy. You must be concentrated and focused on your work," said Pellegrini after City's 2-1 loss to Arsenal on Monday night.

"I understand that we must improve, especially in the games we are playing away, but we continue to be involved in all the competitions."
