Manchester City refused to accept defeat in their pursuit of Dinamo Zagreb wonderkid Alen Halilovic.

A City delegation were in Zagreb last week in an attempt to broker a deal for the teen, but failed with TWO major bids.

TMW says City tabled offers of £7 million and then £9 million for Halilovic, only for both offers to be thrown out by Dinamo chief Zoran Mamic.

However, Mamic knows City are sure to be back with an even bigger proposal in the coming weeks.
