Manchester City legend Denis Tueart sees Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew as a potential England coach.
Tueart told the Daily Star: "Ideally, we would like another English - or British - manager and I think an advisory committee should be set up now, working on the succession.
"Pardew has impressed me since I first met him when he was manager of Reading. He has done well at Newcastle and I would put him alongside managers like Southampton's Nigel Adkins, Brendan Rodgers at Swansea and Norwich's Paul Lambert when looking to 2016.
"I like the look of Pardew's staff at Newcastle, too - Geordie coaches John Carver and Steve Stone and chief scout Graham Carr."
