Man City keeper Pantilimon happy to remain patient

Manchester City goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon knows he will have to bide his time before taking the number one shirt from Joe Hart.

The 23-year old Romanian, on a season-long loan from Timisoara, has played second fiddle to the England international since arriving in August and after producing an impressive performance in Tuesday night's Carling Cup win over Arsenal is looking to put his best foot forward.

"I just work to be ready when the team needs me," he said.

"Right now it is Joe playing, because he is a great keeper. But in every training session everybody fights and works to be in the squad.

"It is normal that everyone wants to play, but I have to wait for my chances and see what happens."
