Manchester City goalkeeper Shay Given is convinced they end a difficult season on a high by winning the UEFA Cup.
City set off for Aalborg today defending a 2-0 lead and hoping to book a place in the UEFA Cup quarter-finals.
Keeper Given, 32, was born two months after the club's last trophy - the League Cup triumph in 1976.
He said: "People belittle it but if we win the UEFA Cup we'll be on cloud nine.
"Coming here was a fresh challenge. I'd love to have won something at Newcastle but it didn't work out."
