Manchester City have inserted a buy-back clause into Karim Rekik's Marseille contract.

Rekik was sold to French side Marseille recently for a fee of around £3.5million and many were surprised that City decided to sell one of their most promising young defenders for such a meagre fee.

That said, it has now emerged that City have included a clause into Rekik's Marseille deal which allows them first rights to purchase him back, while they will be entitled to a sell-on fee if the Dutch international makes a move elsewhere.
