Manchester City are set to win the race for Malaga winger Isco.AS says City chief executive Ferran Soriano is driving the deal, determined to beat nemesis Sandro Rosell, the Barcelona president, to Isco's signature.

Despite competition from Barca and AS Monaco, it's suggested Isco will move to City this summer.

And following the winger will be Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini, who recommended the midfielder to City during talks over replacing Roberto Mancini as manager at the end of the season.
