Manchester City are handing defender Nedum Onuoha a new £40,000-a-week contract.
The City defender has battled back after dislocating his shoulder to earn rave reviews for his recent displays.
Onuoha, 22, has just under two years remaining on his contract and currently picks up around £20,000 each week.
But negotiations on new improved terms are said to have gone well, says The Sun.
He is expected to sign a new five-year deal in the next couple of weeks.
